Asian competencies held a seminar on women’s movements in Southeast Asia on Saturday, March 3, 2018. Lecturers Sheikh Mohammed Ikram and d. Habibullah Zakaria.
Sheikh Ikram, the first lecturer, spoke about the beginning of the emergence of the feminist idea and its movements. This idea spread in the West because of pressure on women and their freedom in all areas of life. This period was common in the West, then the perception of women is the demons visible in the earth. And spread this idea to the Muslim countries beginning from Egypt, the establishment of the Muslim Women’s Union.
The second lecturer, d. Habibullah Zakaria, listeners reported information on women’s movements in Malaysia. He mentioned history and first wrote about this idea in Malaysia. The objectives of women’s movements in the West, Malaysia and neighboring countries vary considerably. The goal of women’s movements in the West was to give women the rights to politics or social relations. In Malaysia women have acquired the same rights. But this feminist idea is one of the ways of the West to mislead Muslims. Are extremely dangerous because they advocate equality between men and women in every aspect of life.
At the end of the meeting, the chairman of the session, Zaki bin Abdul Aziz, opened the field for every delegate from South East Asia to speak and ask about the feminist movement in his country and look for ways to repel this idea and to educate Muslims about its danger.
